10 things to do in the PNW in the Spring

1. Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival Woodburn: Now until April 29th, daily from 9 am - 6 pm
 The tulip festival spans a 40-acre area of land that has beautiful views of the mountains, vineyards, and acres of tulips. Amongst the rows of tulips, there are family activities as well!
 
2. Cherry Blossom Trees: Capitol Park
The Capitol Park in front of the Capitol Building has the most beautiful lines of cherry blossom trees. Soft pink covers the whole area and marks the official start of Spring for us Oregonians. Keep an eye on the Statesman Journal; they share when the blossoms have started to bloom.
 
3. Peter Courtney Minto Island Bridge: Riverfront Park
In downtown Salem, at the Riverfront Park, the Peter Courtney Minto Island Bridge is a great way to enjoy exercise when the weather starts changing. The bridge connects Minto Brown Park and Riverfront Park, providing endless trails for the community to enjoy.
 
4. Fun Runs: Superhero Dash
The annual Superhero Dash is on May 12th! Hosted by Community Action Agency, raising awareness and proceeds to benefit those in poverty in our community. Register HERE!
 
5. Saturday Market: Every Saturday from April to October
Saturday Farmers Market is now open! It's a much larger market than the one held on Wednesdays. Grab the family and enjoy a relaxing morning at the market. 
 
6. Wednesday Market: Every Wednesday from May to October
Wednesday Farmers Market is open from May until October. A great way to sample food from local restaurants, buy fresh produce, and enjoy fresh flowers! 
 
7. Silver Falls Hike: Silver Falls State Park
A 7.2-mile loop that shows the beauty of ten different falls, a nationally recognized hiking trail that is in our backyard! The park offers more than 35 miles of trails that you can hike, mountain bike, or horseback ride.
 
8. Iris Festival: May 18th - 21st
Keizer hosts a festival sharing the beauty of the iris fields! Activities include the Iris Run, Iris Parade, Car Show, Mayor's Prayer Breakfast, Golf Tournament, and a Carnival. More information here. 
 
9. Monday Runday with Gallagher Fitness: Every Monday at 6 pm at Gallagher Fitness Resources

10. SOLVE IT for Earth Day Beach Cleanup: April 21st from 9 am - 1 pm
