15th Annual Community Shred Day

Published March 9, 2018

Why is shredding important? It’s a security measure.
During a time of increased identity theft, securely shredding your personal documents is imperative for keeping your information safe. Securely shredding your documents adds an extra measure to be sure your address, name, social security number, account numbers, card numbers, birth date, etc. are kept safe.

"Disposing properly of outdated documents that contain personal information is one of the best ways to prevent fraud and identity theft," said Shane Saunders, Chief Experience Officer at Maps Credit Union.
Along with shredding documents, we are collecting donations to support Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. This is part of our Credit Union for Kids Change a Child’s Life coin campaign. Maps Community Foundation is coordinating the event and will be matching the donations we receive that day.
Let’s keep your information safe and make a difference in the children’s lives at Doernbecher!
This event is in collaboration with Iron Mountain Inc., who will be shredding all the documents on site.
