Which Maps Credit Card is Best for Me?
Published September 20, 2022
With so many credit cards available, it can be difficult to choose the one that best suits your financial needs. At Maps, we narrow it down with three credit card options for personal accounts: Cashback Mastercard, World Mastercard, and Mastercard Platinum.
We typically have lower rates than other credit card options, we’re local, and ready to help you find the card that will help you reach your financial goals.
First, ask yourself which features are most important to you. For example, if you plan to use the card for borrowing and won’t be able to pay off the card every month, you should look for a lower interest rate. Or, if you know you’ll put a lot of purchases on the card, an annual fee card that offers more points may be the fit for you. When it comes to Maps credit cards, all three of our options include:
-
No balance transfer fees
-
MasterRental Car Insurance
-
Zero Liability protection for unauthorized purchases
-
Mastercard Global Service™ 24/7 assistance for lost/stolen cards
-
Identity Theft Resolution Services
-
Mastercard Airport Concierge™
-
Price Protection
-
Extended Warranty Coverage
-
Travel Accident Insurance
-
Baggage Delay Reimbursement
-
Mobile Wallet Accessible
Maps Cashback Mastercard
Are you more interested in getting cash back than points? This is particularly ideal for people who aren’t interested in going online to redeem points. With our Cashback Mastercard, you don’t have to do anything to get your rewards. They are directly deposited into your account every month.
These cash back rewards are directly deposited into a high-yield Maps Member Rewards savings account (available to all Maps personal accounts), which has a 3.00% APY* (annual percentage yield) ― a higher interest than other savings accounts.
The Cashback Mastercard also provides cell phone protection, rideshare protection, and 1% cash back on all purchases.
Maps Platinum Mastercard
Maps Platinum is the best option for members who want a lower APY, less frills, and no annual fee. This card has a lower interest rate than the Cashback Mastercard, but you’ll still earn one point per dollar spent on qualifying purchases. These points can be redeemed for travel, merchandise, gift cards, and more.
The Platinum Mastercard is also a good option for those who may not have the best credit score or credit history.
Maps World Mastercard
Do you love to travel? The Maps World Mastercard is a great option for people who travel often ― specifically foreign travel. While the World Mastercard has an annual fee, it also has more benefits available:
-
2x ScoreCard Points earned for travel and dining purchases, and 1x ScoreCard Points on all other purchases
-
Waived foreign transaction fees & international service assessments
-
Concierge, Luxury Hotels, and Luxury Travel services
-
24/7 travel advisor with room upgrades, early and late check-out
-
Trip Cancellation/Interruption
-
Travel Assistance
-
Exclusive offers at mastercard.us/worldoffers
The annual fee is $49 but extra benefits ― like Mastercard offers through Hello Fresh and Door Dash ― make it well worth it for members.
Our goal at Maps is to help you achieve your financial goals. You can find out more about our credit card options, details, and apply online, or stop by any of our branches to get started.
