For 45 years, the all-volunteer Ella Curran Food Bank has focused on providing food to those in need in the Monmouth, Independence, Polk, and Marion County areas; serving over 4,000 people per month. The construction of their new facility will increase food accessibility, ensure a permanent location for decades to come, eliminate the need for shoppers to stand outside in inclement weather and be a resource for the region with emergency preparedness. Our grant of $50,000 will help make their dream a reality. We are honored to support such a dedicated, all-volunteer community organization that is making sure our neighbors are not hungry.
