Helping Hands Resources (HHR) is a volunteer-run nonprofit in Salem that provides clothing, bedding, household items, and other essentials to neighbors in need—completely free of charge. From interview outfits and workwear to baby layettes and “Restart Kits” for families rebuilding their homes, their shop offers practical support with dignity and care. A 2025 $25,000 Community Grant from the Maps Community Foundation helped fund HHR’s Expansion Project, which allowed them to purchase and remodel a neighboring warehouse and significantly increase their capacity to serve the community. We are honored to support HHR and the volunteers whose compassion and generosity help neighbors rebuild and move forward.
