A $25,000 grant was given to HART for their new arena and facility located off Highway 22 in Polk County. Founded in 2015, HART’s mission is to empower and strengthen those with physical, cognitive, emotional, and social challenges through equine assisted activities. They offer horseback riding to children and adults with special needs from 2 to 75+ years old. The new facility will include a riding center, barn area, riding arena, a welcome center/lobby, and restrooms. With the expanded space HART will be able to house up to ten horses and expand from serving 55 to 100 participants per week.
