In 2025, We Celebrated 90 years of member-driven service!
Maps Credit Union was founded in 1935 in Salem, Oregon, by a group of 20 school employees who volunteered their time and talents to help one another build financial stability. Originally known as Salem Public School Teachers Credit Union, it served teachers, administrative workers, office staff, and janitorial teams at Willamette University and Marion County Public Schools—and it grew quickly by staying rooted in trust, cooperation, and community care.
In 2025, we celebrated our 90th anniversary by honoring the people, partnerships, and moments that shaped our story, from longtime employees and members to the communities we serve across Oregon. We carry that legacy with us today, evolving our services, expanding access, and investing in what matters most, while staying grounded in the belief that when people support one another, everyone benefits.
