How to Participate
Kids, we want to hear from you! Tell us what helps you save, and you could not only inspire another young saver—you could also win big!
- Write one short tip about something that helps you save (one or two sentences is perfect—100 words max)
- Fill out the entry form below with the help of a parent or guardian
- Submit your entry by April 20, 2026
That’s it! If your tip is selected, you’ll win a prize and be featured on the Maps website. Be sure to review the Official Rules below before submitting your entry.
Maps 2026 Youth Savings Contest Official Rules
1. Sponsor
The Maps Youth Savings Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Maps Credit Union (“Maps”), PO Box 12398, Salem, Oregon 97309. To request a list of winners, mail a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Maps Credit Union, Maps Credit Union, PO Box 12398, Salem, Oregon 97309, Attn: Marketing Department, after the end of the Promotion Period.
2. Eligibility
The Contest is open to individuals ages 0–17 at the time of entry. Entries for minors must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian. By entering, the parent or legal guardian confirms they have the authority to submit the entry and grant any required permissions.
To be eligible to receive a prize, the minor entrant or their guardian must be a member of Maps Credit Union in good standing at the time winners are selected. If the selected entrant is not a member at the time of selection, an alternate winner may be chosen.
Employees of Maps Credit Union and their immediate family members are not eligible to win.
3. No Purchase Necessary
No purchase or deposit is required to enter or win, and a deposit does not increase the chances of winning.
4. Entry Period
Entries will be accepted during the designated Youth Savings Month promotion period, from April 1, 2026, to April 20, 2026. Entries submitted outside the official entry period will not be eligible. Limit one (1) entry per child during the Contest period.
5. How to Enter
To enter, submit a savings tip through the official online entry form between April 1, 2026, and April 20, 2026.
Each entry must include: the minor entrant’s first and last name, age, a savings tip (maximum 100 words), confirmation of the minor entrant’s Maps membership status, parent or legal guardian’s name and email address, confirmation of the parent or guardian’s Maps membership status, and a completed consent acknowledgment.
An optional photo may also be submitted. Incomplete, false, or duplicate entries may be disqualified. Only the minor entrant’s first name, last initial, savings tip, and any submitted photo will be used in publication.
6. Prizes
Grand Prize (1 Winner): $250 and one (1) one-year family membership to either the Oregon Zoo or the Oregon Coast Aquarium (winner’s choice). Approximate Grand Prize value: up to $470.
Second Tier Prizes (2 Winners): $100 (each)
Third Tier Prizes (5 Winners): $50 (each)
All cash rewards will be deposited into a Maps savings account held by or for the minor winner. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted for cash except at Maps’ discretion. If the selected membership becomes unavailable, Maps reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
7. Winner Selection
Winners will be selected by Maps Credit Union based on the overall quality and spirit of the submitted savings tips. Entries will be evaluated on criteria such as creativity, clarity, originality, and how well the tip reflects positive saving habits.
Winners may be selected across different age ranges at Maps’ discretion to ensure broad representation. All decisions regarding winner selection are final.
Winners will be notified using the contact information provided at the time of entry. If a selected winner does not respond within a reasonable timeframe, an alternate winner may be selected. Winning entries will be announced on or by May 1, 2026.
8. Prize Delivery
Cash prizes may be deposited into a Maps account held by or for the minor winner, or distributed in another manner determined by Maps. Membership prizes will be awarded directly to the winner’s parent or legal guardian.
9. Publicity
By entering, the parent or legal guardian grants Maps Credit Union permission to use the minor entrant’s first name, last initial, savings tip, and any submitted photo for promotional purposes related to the Contest, including use on Maps’ website, social media, and other marketing materials, without additional compensation.
Winning savings tips may be featured on Maps Credit Union’s website and/or social media channels for a period of time determined by Maps, including as part of ongoing promotional content throughout the year.
10. General Conditions
Maps reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest if circumstances beyond its control affect the administration or fairness of the Contest.
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Maps Credit Union from any claims arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance of any prize.
